WHAT WE DO
Garden Club of Lighthouse Point began in 1958 and was Federated in 1959. We are members of National Garden Clubs, Inc. (NGC) Deep South Region (DSR) of NGC and the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs (FFGC) District XI (comprised of all garden clubs in Broward County.) We have 501c3 nonprofit status.
We offer programs on all aspects of gardening, how to plant, where to plant, and what to plant!! Just moved to South Florida and not sure what to plant by your pool? Are you devotees of roses or orchids? Desert gardeners, water gardeners — or both? What plants are good for shade? What plants are good in the sun? Have fun and learn all of it with us. Visit our Resources page for more information.
We welcome new members. Membership dues are $45.00 per year, plus a membership book fee of $10.00 the first year. Meetings always feature a presentation or a field trip to gardens, arboretums, and historic houses in and around Broward County. Meetings are usually held from October thru May. Visit our Calendar page to see meeting and event dates.
We offer educational programs through the National Garden Clubs (NGC) in Environmental, Gardening, Landscape Design, and Flower Show School.
Plus, we’re very sociable! We go out to eat and have a lot of fun.
